WDC external HDD WDBPCK5000ABK 500GB doesnt power up

Hi 

I own a WD 500GB external HDD. Part ID WDBPCK5000ABK.

The problem with this HDD is its loose USB connector. But with this connector I have used this external for around 2 yrs now and all of a sudden it has stopped working. When I plug in the USB connector it just doesnt get powered up. The LED light doesnt light up nor does it get detected in My Computer.

I have very very data inside this which I need to recover. Is there anyway I can throw back life in this HDD??

Or anyone hase any idea about WD repair center in Mumbai/Pune India ??

I’ll suggest you to contact WD directly in your country. If the connector is loose and your drive is under warranty they will gladly replace the unit for you.
