Can any of the owners of the WD My Cloud EX2 4TB model (WDBWAK0040JCH) tell me please, what HDD model is used in this NAS by default?
I mean, is it HDD model WD20EFRX or any other?
And what is the difference between NAS models WDBVKW0040JCH and WDBWAK0040JCH?

It’s hard to tell since the internal hard drive model is subject to change based on product revisions.

The WDBWAK0040JCH model is particular to Russia:

The WDBVKW0040JCH model is supplied to the US.

One simple way to find out what model the drive is, is to login to the EX2 dashboard and then go to the Storage tab. Then choose Disk Status and then from the right side under System Disks, click on the linked text Drive 1 or Drive 2 to see the info for that drive.

I don’t own this model of NAS at all, I was interesting about its internal HDDs just because I was intended to buy it later in Russia )) And for me is very important what internal HDDs should be WD20EFRX for 4TB model. But none of the data sheets says any more then, what internal HDDs are just WD Red…
