Wondering if anyone else has had this problem. I can’t get my 8tb WD Red Plus drive to power on/show up in the bios on any of my computers. Any suggestions before I RMA this one.

We would recommend you to perform a diagnostic test on the drive to determine the optimal health of the drive using the following KBA article: Error
Doesn’t show up in bois or windows so it can’t be read by the WD Lifeguard program. I’ve got it setup to be RMA’d. Tried multiple sata power cables to spin the drive up but none work every other drive I plug the same cable into spins right away.

If the drive is not powering on at all and you tried other drives on the same cable that works then its definitely faulty. Just RMA it and they will send you a new one.
