WD80BB - 7.5 Years and counting

I bought this 80gb drive back in 2001 for my first ground-up computer build, and now in 2010, SMART reports the power-on hours count at 66484, which comes out to about 7.59 years of the 9 years I’ve had the drive.

I don’t store anything mission-critical on it anymore, but I think I’m going to retire the drive in favor of probably a 1tb drive. The replacement will of course join my army of other WD drives I have in all of my computers, which comes out to about at least 7 or 8 Western Digital drives I have in use right now, none of which I’ve had to RMA.

So lets hear it, who else has drives serving them faithfully for many years? Can anyone beat 7.5 years (you can check most drives smart status with SpeedFan)?
