I have a WD7502AAEX that was in my previous computer and I’m trying to (1) make sure I’ve moved all the files/move the rest of the files and (2) use it as extra external storage. I put it in a USB external data storage box/converter (Rosewell) and the computer sees the enclosure but doesn’t seem to see the drive. Suggestions?
Here are some things to try:
Make sure you have the WD7502AAEX connected properly inside the Rosewell USB case. Sometimes these cases can be just a little finicky about the drive’s connector making contact.
If the Rosewell uses a USB cable try a different USB cable
Try connecting the USB box to a different USB port
Try connecting the USB box to a different PC
Remove the drive from the box and connect it back inside your PC and see if it gets found. Just like it was before you took it out and replaced it.
