I have a WD5000H1U-00 External Drive. When I plug it in the fan starts then stops after a few seconds. The light doesn’t come on. Also, when i plug it into my Mac Book I get an alert that the USB device is using too much power and to unplug the device to reactivate the USB port. I am not sure if I’m using the proper power supply for the WD. The output on the power supply is 12v. I have used this hard drive with this Mac Book previously with no issues. Thanks in advance.
