I have wd5000d032 external drive.
from some reason the computer doesn’t recognize the drive.
there is a blue light and i hear ticking sounds from the drive.
what should be done?

Try to connect the drive with any other computer and if you face the same issue then you should replace the drive if it is under warranty period. Please refer to the link given below in order to know how to apply for the RMA.
