wd5000azdx won't boot tivo

I am trying to instll a wd5000azdx into my tivo.  I can copy the operating system to the drive with my windows computer but it won’t boot.  I wonder if it is an issue with the 4k sector size.  Is there a way to fix this so the tivo can see the drive.  I have also been recommended to try wdidle but I am having trouble getting a boot disk to run it.

You can download the advanced format software from the link below. Also check if your hard drive model is compatible with tivo.
