WD5000AAKB - HD died twice since october ... can I get a refund from WD?


In october, got this 500 GB HD from Canada computers.  3 weeks later, the HD died (apparently, the motor stopped spinning or whatever you call it).  They sent it back to WD and 4 weeks later (early december) we got a new HD.

This morning, we turned on the PC and the new drive also doesn’t show up in the drive listing and we’ve done all we can; same as before; it appears to have died.

Is there anything we can do? Has anyone has similar issues? 


Have you tried contacting WD’s Technical Support? I would consider giving them a call about this.
