So I removed the logic board from my dead disk and I see there appears to be a problem.
Seems to be a diode that failed, next to the 12V line
Based on this photo, I agree with you, now, I’m not good at repairing boards, kind of clumsy with the tools.

The disk board now causes fail to boot, suggesting the diode is toast.
I wonder if removing it and shorting the pads will work?
