Wd40ezrz Failure

Hi my Wd40 blue drive today has ceased responding in my pc.
Its 25 months old and is used as the back up drive.
When trying to type in the serial number on the wd site it is rejected yet it was purchased new from scan computers in the uk.

Any ideas what to try as it does sound like its spinning up and no clicks etc. annoying as 25 months old which is poor for wd.
