WD40EFZX Does not power/spin

Hello,

I’m having issues with WD40EFZX drives. I’m on my second (through RMA) and neither drive would power/spin.
I’ve tried:

  • connecting the drives to multiple computers.
  • both SATA power and Molex adaptor power.
  • both AHCI and Raid settings
  • jumper settings

What am I missing or is this model experiencing a high rate of DOAs?
