I don’t think I’ve ever heard an HDD beep at me before, this one does. It does 3 quick beeps, pause, then 1 beep again. Any idea what this means? I feel the head spinning, but it does this twice and never boots.
Hi does bios find the drive if so use a HDD boot program to run a test on it ie hirens boot cd would do. Lap top drives take a real beating it sounds as if the heads are stuck on the platter if that is the case you need a new drive.
