wd3200aaks stopped working?

Hello , I have a western digital  3200aaks hard drive , it has failed and all of my back up was on there I went to the shop had it fixed the tech said that the actual harddrive was fine but it was potentially the motherboard on the outside of the harddrive that was the problem …But what i am wondering is if there is anyone out there with motherboard / circuitboard parts for this harddrive  or …Any insight into this problem  any help would be great …

What are the symptoms? Does the drive spin up, or attempt to spin up?
