WD3200AAJS is dead

After Five Months my Western digital WD3200AAJS  320Gb HD has dead

Is there a chance to be repaired ? I replaced the tvs diode but not work does shortening it works? Or other components tried? How to check if head & media is OK. I have also a 160 Gb Seagate HD IDE and has 6 years of intense working, and this WD lasted only five months.
