WD3200AAJB-00TYA0 no longer showing up in BIOS

My old HDD from around 2007 decided to stop working suddenly on me about a week ago while I was doing some work. It was freezing up for a bit, which was odd, until it just BSOD’d on me. Restarting it showed it wasn’t being completely recognized in the BIOS (Rather than say “Nothing” it was just blank.)

What I’d like is to be able to transfer my old documents onto my new HDD, at the very least. There’s nothing of extrreme importance on there, other than information that’s jumped from 2003 to 2011 from a few harddrives already. Basically just personal documents, nothing worth 1000+ for opening the HDD.

If any BIOS or any computer at all don’t recognize the drive, you need professional services.

Assuming the drive still spins up, you could try the following online service:

According to the web site, “if you have an issue with a hard drive, please feel free to download Repair Station and run diagnostics (which is free). Repair Station diagnoses the Firmware Area and hard drive mechanics and displays a short summary of hard drive’s health.”
