WD2go without Java mess?

Anyway to use WD2g0 without installing all the java bloat?  Just the very second i installed it, MSE popped up with this threat:

If we are stuck with it fine, but for the future,  please consider notebook and tablet machines that have limited resources. Thanks.

p.s. on the more positive note, I understand that web2to uses webdav. If so, glad to hear it!

Unfortunately, as far as I know, you need to install Java with all the plugging.
