I love the fact that the is a WD2Go app for Windows Phone. However, i am not able to download any files with my Lumia 720. The WD2Go app is paired with my WD My Cloud device. I can browse through all me files. I am able to open music, videos and photos but opening other documents isn’t working.
When i open an excel file of pdf, the WD2Go app opens the browser and downloads the file. When the download is ready, it says “tap to open”. But it won’t open anything.
This is not a phone issue i think. I have installed the Dropbox app and this apps uses the same download method. Click on a file, open the browser and “tap to open”.
However, the Dropbox app opens the file when i touch the “tap to open” message and the WD2Go doesn’t.
What is the problem and are there more people experiencing the same error?
