WD2go and D-Link DIR-615 port forwarding

I am unable to set up my MBL fully for remote access. I have a D-Link DIR-615 router and have followed as far as I can the

However, when I set up the static IP on the MBL setup and port forwarding on the router, it disables the router. I’ve had to reset the router to get the wifi operating again.

Don’t know how, but I successfully set up the WD2go app on my iphone without any changes - prest auto connection, dynamic DCHP and no port forwarding. However I can’t get the WD photo or web based access established and there is an error with the Connection Status.

Is there a by-the-numbers solution? Thanks.

Any chance that you can test the unit with a different router?

I have a Thompson Telstra router that the D-link is connected to, but I’m equally at a loss to set up, since it is not one of the ones with step by step instructions.
