My External hard WD2500ME crashed in windows professional service pack 3.Windows XP is update. usb flash driver works with XP.WD work anothers computers with windows vista and W7.can anyone help?

If the drive works with other computers and not that one, try updating the drivers for the USB controller.

There seems to be something preventing the drive to mount on the XP computer.

usb drivers are up to update.The external dribe does not work usb front and us rear.

was it working before?  also what do you mean by “WD2500ME crashed in windows professional service pack 3”?  can you explain that a little more?

Yes.The external drive has always worked well with any operating sistem.Now does not work any on operating sistem.The windows does not regonize the disk!!The disk rotate but does not start!!The problem is teh box or disk?
