Hallo,
ich habe folgendes Problem mit meiner 20EARS:
Ich nutze diese Festplatte in kombination mit einer zweiten für ein Datenbackup in einem externen PC (Linux). Backups soll man ja auch von Ort trennen ;). Dazu nutze ich mdadm, früher im Raid 1, mittlerweile im Raid 5 für einen größeren Speicherplatz (natürlich mit einer dritten 2 TB Platte).
Im Raid 1 ist diese Platte gelegentlich ausgefallen, sodass das Raid degraded war (vor ca. 1 Jahr hats angefangen). Damals dachte ich es liegt an meiner Erfahrung, da ich mich neu in mdadm eingearbeitet habe.
Nun hab ich das ganze vergrößert in ein Raid 5, wieder mit mdadm und 2 mal hat der resync nicht geklappt, beim dritten mal, nachdem ich den extended self test durchgeführt habe, dann doch. Nun ist bei einem Backup die Festplatte einfach “gestorben”… zumindest wurde sie nach einem I/O Fehler aus dem Raid geworfen und über smartctl hat sie komische Sachen ausgegeben.
Smartwerte nachdem die Festplatte aus dem Raid geflogen ist:

Die drei SMART-Self Tests habe ich selbst angestoßen. (über smartctl) Dabei ist mir aufgefallen, dass vor dem Extended test bei “200 Multi_Zone_Error_Rate” noch “1” stand, danach “0”. Wieso?
Was mich wundert: Der Load_Cycle_Count ist sehr hoch im vergleich zu den Betriebsstunden. Zumindest im vergleich zu meiner anderen 20EARS (870 Betriebsstunden und Load_Cycle Count von 4450). Liegt das an der Firmware? Die neuere EARS hat Version 51.0AB51.
Ich hab noch Garantie bis August, ich will aber wissen was mit der Festplatte los ist, weil sie immer wieder I/O Fehler produziert, aber nach einem Neustart dann wieder funktioniert. Habt ihr da eine Idee? Soll ich sie austauschen lassen?
Soll ich sie mit dem WDTool in Windows mal überprüfen lassen? Was macht das Tool überhaupt?
ich hab auch hier im Folum etwas gesucht, aber nix vergleichbares Gefunden (oder nach den falschen Stichwörtern gesucht). Sorry, wenn das Problem schonmal beantwortet wurde!
