So i just got this drive and knowing i need a jumper set to pins 7-8 before creating a single partition in windows XP i was a bit disappointed when there was no jumper in the package alongside the drive. Can i get a jumper sent from WD?

I really couldnt believe that such a small but significant thing wasnt included.

i dont understand why either

i will use jumper from an older drive that i dont use now

I’m going to see if the jumper from an old samsung drive fits. If not i’ll have to go the software route.

Doubt they would send your the jumper, but I hope this idea would be acknowledged.
