Hello,i have hdd WD2002FAEX and notice some annoying NOISE come from HDD when the system is shut down.Did you think that this is normal?Actually all test PASS like SMART,but i am not sure about this noise.
It is normal for these drives to make a bit of noise when in use or when it stops, my advice to you in order to verify if the issue is caused by drive’s failure is to run the Extended Test with DLG Diagnostics. Click on the links for further details.
can you let us know more detailed about “annoying noise”
do it like grinding noise or clicking noise ?
when shutdown, the drive head will park and usually make clicking noise and thats normal
