WD15EARS not showing SMART status

I have SMART enabled for this drive in my BIOS. DLGDIAG isn’t giving me the SMART status for some reason, but I can see the SMART status with  SpeedFan..

Is there a fix for this?

When the drive is connected as a RAID drive, particularly using motherboard built-in RAID, this can apparently stop the direct low-level communication with the drive hardware that is needed for SMART info retrieval.

I recall with my old Asus mobo, I originally had the drive setup as RAID. Not sure why I even did that, but when I got rid of that and went “native” it booted faster.

Thank you for the reply, David_Pierson.

As far as I know, I didn’t setup RAID with any of my drives.

Anyway, it seems my drive is acting up again. I think I’m going to try to RMA this drive.
