i’ve had this drive for a year with no luck getting it up and running, but i haven’t touched it since the first week i got it. now i need it and though i’m sure it was DOA, i’d like to troubleshoot it one more time before making a claim. so yeah, it’s recognized in the bios but the operating system cannot find it. i’ve tried jumpers 7-8 and 5-6 and a safe mode boot, but i still come up empty. any advice?
Try the WD Data Lifeguard Diagnostic boot disk and scan the drive for errors.
