WD10JPLX Firmware upgrade?

Hi all,

We have 8 WD10JPLX-00M running in our HP server and older DL380 with 2.5 drive slots, thus the need to run the blacks, since the Gold drives don’t come in a 2.5 format size
However the raid array is spitting out an error to check for a firmware upgrade.
Currently they are all 01.01H01, is there any newer firmware available and wheres the tool to update it

Unfortunately Western Digital doesn’t provide firmware updates for WD Internal hard drives. However, if you want to check the RAID status, you can use WD Drive Utility to check the health of RAID under RAID Management tab.

Hi asp73,

The raid health is fine, I’ve check the HP utility and the WD one.
It’s more of annoyance than an issue.
It is very disappointing that WD does not issue regular (i.e. every quarter) firmware upgrades to all of products until at least their EOL.
