WD10ezex not seen by bios

Hi, hope this has not been covered before

My 1TB blue drive was not seen by BIOS & stopped my SATA dvd writer from being seen by XP

I have a very old M/B:

Asrock K7Upgrade-600

I tried all other solutions (swapping ports,  cables, etc) to no avail

Eventually, I tried both jumpers (5&6) AND (7&8) at the same time

It worked, wat a relief!
