WD10EADS initialize/format issues

I am using Win/Vista 32 bit Home Premium.

I am trying to initialize and format a brand new WD10EADS drive but I keep getting “cyclic redundancy check” errors.

Any suggestions on what to do next ?

What if you test the drive for errors?

Try using new high quality SATA cable. If not, return the drive and get a replacement.
