WD10EADS Caviir green

Hi, I am new to the forum. I have been reading the posts about the Caviar Green hard drives and am not happy with what I have read.  I have three WD10EADS Caviar Green hard drives, 2 running windows 7 and one with Mac OS 10.5 which is also mac branded. My question is if the Mac branded drive has the same problem as the PC versions? and if I should be looking for a Caviar Black for it?  So far the only problems I have had is with the PC one which quit after watching a Blu-Ray movie on it.  I have since gotten it to boot up again after removing the PCB, cleaning the contacts and doing an OS recovery.  This only happened after I gave it a cooling off period of 24 hours.  I tried doing the OS Recovery right after the event  and was rewarded with the “Blue Screen of Death”  and some Disc Boot Failure or Disc boot not found messages.   On an Aside I had an identical failure with a WD5000AAJS WD Caviar SE in a Mac G5 formatted with OS 10.5. this time after watching a DVD movie.  So here is my 3rd question Is the Playback feature for movies putting a kind of stress overload on the hard drives?  Or is it that only the Caviar Black is the only hard drive worth owning since the switch from IDE to SATA???

I have at least 10 WD Green drives in my servers.  Not yet had a problem with any Of them.  Most are more than 2 years old by now.

The one which is failing is 2-weeks past the 3-year warrenty, and the WD5001AALS  SE is only 2-years 9-months.  I Thought they were good for 50,000 hours or something like that.  I built the PC from scratch with new or nearly new parts about a year ago and I’m seriously disappointed at having these problems so soon.
