but other than clicking issue

everyone runs normal, no crash-like when accessing the drive, no file errors

also SMART showing normal… WDDiag also showing no issue

but is this normal ?

or i should RMA the drive ?

thanks in advance

Hi there.

Allow me to share a link from the WD Website may be helpful

http://wdc.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/61/session/L3RpbWUvMTMwNDk1NDcxNi9zaWQvN0Q2bzh4dGs%3D

thanks for the link

the only possible from the list, is the faulty SATA cable

as i already make sure the setting (bios) correct

and for the PSU i don’t this an issue either because i am using Corsair AX750 (750watt)

i am plugging the drive to Marvel SATA3 port rather than intel ICH10

might causing the possible issue

i will try replace the SATA cable + change the port and see if the clicking goes away

Hello,

did you change the cable?

i did replace the cable, but the ticking still there…

and after i search regarding that on net, i found this page :

http://forums.ncix.com/forums/topic.php?id=2347963

a user saying that common issue on these drives, which might not an issue

and this page : http://forums.ncix.com/forums/topic.php?id=2227062

a user mention that WD1002FAEX-00Y9A0 is bad batch

as it only 1 month old drive, i think i will try to take it back to the shop and ask for replacement if possible
