WD1001FALS 1TB Drive - Packing

I’ve just received a WD Caviar Black WD1001FALS 1TB drive.  The drive was packed in a cardboard box with an inner angled sheet of cardboard to which the drive was attached by wrapping it with, what looked like, thick clingfilm.  Is this the standard WD packing and adequate or is it a cheap method used by the supplier and risky ?

If the drive isn’t bouncing around, or touching the side of the box, then it should be fine.  If it is loose or touching the case, get a replacement.  The drive won’t last.
