Today is January 22, 2014 and still no resolution.  Can’t access mycloud drive remotely with laptop and wdmycloud.com. Message: Java certificate expired.  Can somebody explain please?  PS:  Using Windows 8.1 64 bit,  Chrome, Version 32.0.1700.76 m, Java  Version 7 Update 51.

Not just me then!! I have tried everything to resolve.

Updated java, no change.

In Chrome at least I get a message that the certificate has expired so Java will not run, contact the supplier to get them tio update. (Mind you it has been warning every time that it would be disabled in the next java update unless the certificate is renewed)

In IE it just redirects to the Oracle site with no useful information.

I can access MyCloud 4TB remotely using my iPhone, but when I try to access it from a PC Java reports an error (in German) and lets me click to get more information about it. This s it:

Security Exception

Missing required Permissions manifest attribute in main jar:

http://192.168.1.1:80/mapdrive/map-drive.jar?v=18

I have no idea, how to handle this. Can anybody help?

Thanks

Markus

After more research I found, that the error has to do with an expired security certificate of Western Digital. Adding the local IP address (in my case http://192.168.1.4)) to the exception list in the Java console, allowed me to access the shares on MyCloud from a remote PC.

Same thing here. Windows 7 home 64bit. LiveDuo 2T.

I tried Chrome, Firefox, IE (IE redirects to Oracle, too). Started this week. I verified Java. I then downloaded and installed and verified Java again. I added wd2go.com as exceptions to various security options in each browser. Nothing works.

Thanks MarkusBi, it works again with this solution!!
