WD TV SMP - Dual Band Dongle

Can I put a dual bond wifi dongle in the back of the SMP for some true 300+300 speeds, taking advantage of both 2.4 and 5ghz networks on a dual band router?

Yes, if it is the list of compatible dongles here:

No, you can’t. The SMP does not support external USB Wireless Adapters.

Your right, for some reason I was thinking of the HUB.

Anyway, your best bet would be to use a Powerline adapter rather than a dongle which should work.

actually you ‘sorta’ can. USB no, but you can get a Ethernet Wireless Adapter and that will work just fine.
the onl thing is you’re limited to the Ethernet ports speed 10/100 (Mbit).

LOL, thanks.  Since the ethernet port on this isn’t gigabit, would be pointless.
