WD TV Remote app not obeying Play mode

When use WD TV Remote App (Android) to play a video file on my WD TV
Play it doesn’t obey the play mode I have selected. I want to use Repeat One but it returns to file menu or plays the next file instead. The actual remote of the media player works flawlessly. I’m using the latest software and my media player is updated as well. Is there any easy fix to this problem?

Have you tried reinstalling the application?

No difference. I tried the WD Remote App using a different android device but same problem occurs.
