I have a first gen media player that I recently purchased, p/n WDAVN00BN. Trying to figure out how to update firmware with the more recent (yes, I know a few years) firmware path, with no success. I downloaded the patch, upzipped the files, placed onto a USB drive, and inserted into the side USB plug on the device. It searched the USB but did not update. Can not find any update feature in the menus on the device. Anyone know how to do this or what I might be doing wrong?

What version is currently on the WD TV? What version did you download? (Don’t just say “the latest” – need to know the actual version)
