WD TV Live vs Samsung Blu-ray player

Just returned to the store a Samsung Blu-ray player with Internet apps and got a WD Live Streaming device instead.

First of all, is there any volume or EQ control on the WD??

Second, the HD quality of streamed videos from Vimeo is FAR FAR superior on the Samsung player.

You guys know why is that or how it can be fixed?

My TV is a 720p LED.

What are you streaming? A Blue Ray rip of one of your movies? If so, can you post the media info or your movie?
