WD TV LIVE unresponsive after remaining idle orin screensaver

As title says, this is infuriating.

If i dont use the box for streaming for a while and screensaver turns on (i dont know if screensaver is the problem, i just mention it) the box becomes unresponsive to the remote (the physical one as well as the iphone app one) and i have to turn the box off then on again to solve the issue. This happens all the time, box has latest firmware and i have used reset to no avail.

I turned screen saver off, it still happens if left inactive for some time.

Solutions?

If it also happens after disabling the screensaver and a reset, then it could be a device malfunction. I’d recommend a free replacement under warranty.

Well, THAT was honest…

Wish WD would do a reset of their support for the TV model’s. 

Just switching out with another box wont fix issues that are endemix to the software (and only truly fixed with a firmware update).
