DId you try turning off the Media Library? Also, you might erase the tiny WD File/folder on that drive and see if it will rebuild it correctly.
I suspect in some of these cases there is a file or files that is causing this problem – for full troubleshooting you should delete all the files off the drive and add them in a few at a time until the problem comes back.
