Will this problem EVER be fixed?

You’re pointing to a 5 month old thread.    Apparently, at least as far as that thread goes, that issue was fixed in later firmwares and by replacing HDMI cables.

I have the latest firmware installed. I also tried 3 different hdmi cables. This issue is not resolved.

I too have had the problem since day one. I guess WD can’t fix it so they have given up trying.
