WD TV Live Plus - Can't Play ISO's created using Disk Utility on Mac

I ripped some DVDs using my Mac’s Disk Utility and made them into ISO files. I also extracted the disks into their file structure using Mac the Ripper, so it gave me the VIDEO_TS directory with VOB files. I then copied both the ISO file and the ripped directory onto a WD USB drive.

What I found was that ISOs made from big studio DVDs will not play on my WD TV LIve Plus. I get stuttering video at best and some bad audio. I have no problem playing ISOs from independent videos.

I have no problem with the extracted VOB files for both big studio and independent DVDs.

I can play the ISO files for both big and small studios on an XBMC on my Apple TV.

Does anyone have any ideas why I cannot play ISOs from big studios on my WD TV Live Plus? Is it because the ISO are big, over 7 gig? Or could it be a protection issue? Although if it is a protection problem then why are the VOBs fine?

Any thoughts?

Thanks!

Thanks. I actually should have updated this topic. I was ripping wrongly.
