WD TV Live Plus 2nd GEn does not recognise WD MyBook Essential

WD TV HD Media Player 2nd GEn does not recognise WD MyBook Essential.

I updated the Medial player with the most recent firmware and nothing works.

Are these two compatible?  My laptop recognisez the My Book Hard drive with no problems,

but NOT the HD media player.  How can I fix?  Thanks.

I am confused, your title says WD TV Live Plus, but your post says HD Gen 2. If it is the Live Plus then the are compatible, if it is the Legacy HD 2nd Gen then only the OLD MyBook Essential is compatible.
