WD TV Live Plus 1080 HD Media Player - Netgear Powerline - Linksys e1000 - Shared Folder

I have a WD TV Live Plus 1080p HD Medai Player that is connected via Netgear Powerline to my Linksys e1000 router. 

Problem: 

I have to be right there ready to connect to the shared folder RIGHT AWAY. If I turn on the media player, walk away, come back 5 minutes later after it has all started up, I will miss my window of opportunity to connect to the shared folder. 

At least I can connect, but anyone have any ideas why I only have a small window of opportunity to connect? 

I have no problem connecting to the internet to view youtube for example.

I think you’re having a networking issue, I have seen the same configuration work with no problems.
