How it’s possible to sel it with such a name? Live TV mean RTP - Multicast, and this box is not capable to. Poor dev.
It would be more accurate to call it the WD TV HD Network Edition; I guess the marketing guys thought “Live” sounded a bit snappier…
As with any technology purchase, you never buy a product without checking the specs first. Anyone buying things just based on the name alone should probably be supervised whilst wielding a credit card…
Anyway you re right, I read the spec and was not able to determine if it was capable or not.
In fact in the specs is capable of decoding everything from everywhere…
Let me know seriously: does this product will support one day RTP on Multicast or never?
Otherwise I will return it back directly to the shop…
