I can browse to my NAS device that hosts many gigs of losless audio (flac) files just fine. I chose to display these files in a list format, which works nicely, except when I drill down to a subfolder on the root of the NAS, the files are not displayed in any order I can recognize (or use). For example, the following list is what I might see:
gd1980-12-31d1t01.flac
gd1980-12-31d3t05.flac
gd1980-12-31d1t12.flac
gd1980-12-31d2t09.flac
gd1980-12-31d2t04.flac
gd1980-12-31d1t03.flac
gd1980-12-31d4t05.flac
gd1980-12-31d3t07.flac
gd1980-12-31d1t04.flac
gd1980-12-31d2t06.flac
gd1980-12-31d1t14.flac
…
I want the list to be in alphanumeric order…better yet, I’d love an option to sort the files by an attribute of my choosing, such as filename or creation date. As it stands currently, I have to hunt and peck each file in order to play my song list in the order I prefer (alphanumeric order of filename). Maybe this seemingly random filename order is a function of the NAS (linux-based)? Even then, having the WD TV Live sort this data should be an option, I think.
