I have a WD TV Live media player, which has been left connected to my television for several months without it being used but has been plugged in this entire time. I tried to start it the other day and found the power adapter where it connects into the unit was melted and damaged from what appears to be overheating. In my professional opinion as a Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator, I do not see signs of extension or external risk that could have caused this. I am willing to return the unit to you (at your cost), so you may investigate if you wish. I am not making or requesting a claim, just wish to bring it to your attention.
