I recently upgraded to a WD TV Live Hub to act as a network player/storage device. However, I have been very disappointed with its operation finding it very diffucult to set up and operate. My biggest problem is that it will only play AVI files, so I need to recode any MP4’s or MKV’s that I download. I have updated to latest firmware on several occasions to no avail. Is there anyone that can help me make it work properly or am I going to have to swop for a Boxee?
Well, without knowing more about your specific files, I can tell you that, in general, the Hub has no problems with MKV, MP4, TS, etc. Please post the full TEXT output of MEDIAINFO for a file you have problems with.
