WD TV Live (Gen 3) won't connect to unsecure wireless network

My wireless network has no password (I use MAC address control, and yes the WD TV is registered).

Because of this it won’t connect to my network.  I have another network, with a password, and it connects to that just fine.

Any soloution to this, because I’d rather not add a password to my network.

Just so you know, MAC address control isn’t worth anything.   I could get on your network in a matter of seconds. :wink:

Does it connect to the insecure network without the Mac address?

Rich brings up a good point… how did you determine the SMP’s WiFi MAC address?

The MAC address shown in the setup screens, IIRC, is the WIRED MAC, which is different than the WiFi MAC.
