WD TV Live does not find avi files on shared media pc...?

Hi, hope anyone can help…?

I’ve successfully configured the WD media player using a netgear wireless adapter. It finds pictures and mpeg and wmv  movies on my notebook, but does not show any of the avi files. Is this a file format support issue or else? It plays these avi files if I put them on a flash drive, but the idea of course was to avoid having to do that.

If you’re using the “Media Server” function, then that tends to indicate that your PC media server doesn’t support AVI files.

If you’re using Network Shares, then I have no ideas, because AVI filetype is supported.
