Hello to all network gurus,
I have a question and you’d save me a lot of time and effort if you can answer it.
I want to buy a WD TV Live and use it as follows:
-downstairs, in the basement, I have a Dlink DIR-655 wireless router used to broadcast internet throughout my home
-upstairs, in the living room where I plan to use the WD TV Live, I have an AirPort Express used today to stream music from my laptop to my receiver (the Airport is a client of Dlink)
The question for you:
-can I connect the WD TV Live (wired) to the AirPort Express -using it as a bridge- thus streaming content from my laptop?
I’ve heard opinions saying this is not possible because the DIR-655 cannot operate in WDS mode. Is this true?
Many thanks for any input, greetings all,
Tiburon
