WD TV Live DAAP at port 3689

I already noticed the open ports on the live when “Share WDTV on your network” is on.

Starting Nmap 5.00 ( http://nmap.org ) at 2010-08-07 15:22 CESTInteresting ports on wdtv-live.fritz.box (192.168.x.x):Not shown: 976 closed portsPORT STATE SERVICE139/tcp open netbios-ssn445/tcp open microsoft-ds464/tcp filtered kpasswd5514/tcp filtered shell543/tcp filtered klogin617/tcp filtered sco-dtmgr1064/tcp filtered unknown1132/tcp filtered unknown1138/tcp filtered unknown1175/tcp filtered unknown1234/tcp filtered hotline2042/tcp filtered isis2998/tcp filtered iss-realsec3333/tcp filtered dec-notes3517/tcp filtered unknown3689/tcp open rendezvous3703/tcp filtered unknown5214/tcp filtered unknown6100/tcp filtered unknown6156/tcp filtered unknown6668/tcp filtered irc49154/tcp filtered unknown49163/tcp filtered unknown50001/tcp filtered unknownNmap done: 1 IP address (1 host up) scanned in 4.57 seconds

When inserted an USB stick containing mp3 files, these tracks, plus 1 unknown, will show up on “Music share at wdtv-live” in my desktop Amarok player.

The tracks however will not play.

Is this some hidden feature ?

Well, port 3689 is what iTunes uses to share data; it might show up under iTunes as well…
